If you are reading this you are probably a descendent of Italian emigrants who sought a new life in the USA, Canada, and Australia. Their unclaimed properties most likely are still be in their names even after many decades. The children of emigrants may still be able to reclaim their ancestors’ property according to Italian succession law.

The following is a partial list of family names and their unclaimed properties by Province and Town. If you see you family name, you may order an official report which will reference: map and parcels numbers, size of properties, names on title from the late 1800s to the present, dates of birth in most cases, and other details such as the names of other family members.

If you do not see your family name, you may request a title report on your family's property. There is a cost of $188.00 per search consisting in two names maximum. Included are the delivery a title report sent to you by email attachment and a 30 minute consulation on its content.

The following is the data needed to perform the property search:

  • Italian name (if female, maiden) of presumed owner, even if deceased
  • Exact town of birth in Italy (mandatory)
  • Father of this person (optional, but very useful)
  • Birth year of the above. (NO BIRTH YEARS BEFORE 1880)
